Hugo Trumpy, a century of activity
Author Unknown: 1976 Genoa, hardcover with dustjacket 36 pages, with photos. In 1876 a young Norwegian, Hugo Trumpy, set up business in Italy as a ship's agent. He became hononary vice-counsel from Norway in Sweden in Genoa. Although Mr Trumpy died in 1917 his company continued to trade under his name and this book was published (c. 1976) to mark the centenary of the company. At that stage it had 115 employees, officers at other Italian ports, represemted 13 liner companies and more than 500 shipping companies calling at Italian ports with their own or chartered ships.
